It checks the phone it's installed on to determine whether ornot it will work on Ting.The Ting compatibility checker app requires permission to accessyour phone's IMEI number. The IMEI is a phone's unique identifierand it's what we use to get information about your phone(manufacturer, model, which radio frequencies it supports and soon). This info then lets us determine if it will work on Ting. Nopersonal identifying information is pulled, stored or sent.
